Molunkus Valley Sno-Drifters held their landowner appreciation on May 2, at the clubhouse.
The club members opened the meeting with the pledge of allegiance. The National Anthem was not sung, as Deb Long came down with a sore throat.
GROOMER OF THE YEAR – Groomer of the Year awards were presented to Rick Allen, left, Chris Allen, center and Rick Long.
Dan Bridgham from Mapleton and Sgt. Dan Menard from the Maine Warden Service spoke. Maine Warden Durward Humphrey was Menard’s guest. Rep. Henry Joy also spoke to the crowd, along with David Stevens, who also had some interesting information he shared with everyone.
Certificates of appreciation were presented to all landowners present by Long (club president). She also shared a joke and everyone had a good chuckle. Then a slide show was shown of the yearly events that the club has done, thanks to Rick Allen.
Groomer of the Year awards were presented to Chris and Rick Allen by Long with Heather Willett presenting the one to her dad, Rick Long. They all did a super job and the trails really showed it.
