There are only 48 kits available for the contest this year.  Multiple entries are allowed.
The traditional Jacob’s Ladder quilt block is an all-time favorite pattern.  Fabric kits for the block contest are available at Chadwicks Florist, 23 Spring Street and there is no cost for the fabric kit.
Please return your finished block with your name and phone number on paper pinned to the back of the block. The finished block will become the property of the Houlton Fair Association for their use.
Peggy Crane of Rather B Quilting made up the fabric kits from her beautiful batik fabrics consisting of teals, pinks, lilacs, red violet, blues and greens.  Fabric kit includes all the fabric needed to make one block with written instructions.
The winning block will be judged on workmanship, color and measurement. There will be prizes awarded for first place, $50, second place-$25 and third place $15.
Please return your finished block with your name and phone number on paper pinned to the back of the block by July 3 to Deb Nisbett, Chadwicks Florist. The finished block will become the property of the Houlton Fair Association for their use.
The blocks presented for the 2008 Quilt Block Contest has been made into a beautiful full/queen size quilt.
