In this role, Simoes will lead CPT’s growth in services and programs targeted to industrial and service employers in Aroostook County, as well as continue to provide occupational therapy rehab at CPT’s Presque Isle and Caribou clinics.
“This is a well-deserved promotion for Adam, who has been an important part of the CPT team for nearly five years,” stated Rossignol.  “In addition to being an excellent occupational therapist, Adam has taken the initiative to develop services and relationships to grow our workplace services. In the past few years, Adam has developed programs for several state and local agencies as well as numerous employers and he is always thinking about ways to improve the services that CPT offers to our patients.”
Services Simoes has helped grow at CPT include ergonomic evaluations, group safety seminars and employment screenings. Simoes is also one of three CPT employees to be certified by WorkWell Systems to deliver Functional Capacity evaluations.
“In addition to treating workplace injuries, a big part of our objective is to prevent injuries from ever happening,” explained Simoes. “The costs of workplace injuries, both direct and indirect, are staggering.  By investing in prevention, everyone wins.”
Simoes has worked with agencies and employers throughout Aroostook County and has presented to a wide range of audiences. “One day I’ll present to mill workers and the next day I’ll speak with the administrative staff. My goal is to make each presentation relevant to the people in that audience. I want everyone to walk away knowing that little things make a big difference.”
Simoes has a bachelor of science degree in occupational therapy from the University of New England in Biddeford.  He resides in Presque Isle with his wife Heidi and three sons Joshua, Aimon and Colton.
