PORTAGE – Virginia A. Bartlett, 77, died July 19, 2009, at The Aroostook Medical Center in Presque Isle. She was born in Portage on March 28, 1932, the daughter of Ernest and Hazel (Murphy) Bartlett.
She loved her plants, watching the birds, and truly loved her dog Tia and her cat Bonkers. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, and the visits from her brother James.
She is survived by two daughters, Jane Smith of Crawford, ME and Debra Brewer of Portage; two brothers, James Bartlett of Hermitage, Tenn. and Edwin Bartlett of Eagle Lake; four sisters, Florence Millett, Thelma Robinson, and Pauline Savory, all of Florida, and Marilyn Robinson of Presque Isle; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by two husbands, Paul Brewer and Kenneth Bartlett; four siblings, Ralph, Woodrow, Doris, and Ernestine.
