Adult services are workshop topic

    PRESQUE ISLE — Bridges Transition is pleased to announce “Lunch & Learn,” a series of workshops for parents and providers in partnership with Maine Parent Federation. These sessions will focus on transition topics you asked for from our recent survey. If you have a son or daughter with special needs, these workshops are designed to answer the questions you have been asking.     These sessions will focus on transition topics, are accessible and at a central location for Aroostook, a light lunch will be provided and two contact hours are provided.
    The series started Aug. 14 and will run through May with a different topic each month. The next session is Eligibility for Adult Services, presented by Tracy Ayotte, Department of Health and Human Services, and will be on Friday, Sept. 11, 2009, at the Presque Isle CareerCenter from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
    Workshops are free, however, you must pre-register by noon the Friday before so we can plan for meal and materials. Space is limited. If needed, we will create a wait list.
