LIMESTONE — The Limestone/Caswell Historical Society held a rather successful Picnic and Barbecue on Aug. 22, with an estimated 60 individuals enjoying the afternoon at the museum. This marked the 12th year the society has hosted the picnic and barbecue at the museum.
Originally, the event was held to attract people to the museum to look at displays and learn more about the people and events that have made the town what it is today.
The Limestone/Caswell Historical Society Museum has been open since the ‘90s, though the organization originated in the ‘80s.
The next big event at the museum will be the highly anticipated Christmas Tea, which is usually held the first Saturday in December.
