To the editor:
People were in a festive mood as they danced and swayed to the elegant and timeless music of the band “Sentimental Journey” and vocals of Alice French on the Aug. 22-23 weekend. The evening was enjoyed by all with a social hour, a truly tasty dinner followed with the music of the oldies but goodies. Many thanks to Carol McElwee, Joanne Cyr for the lovely decorations, and all their assistance, and the display of photos by Dottie Wakem. And a special thanks to the ladies of the Caribou Chamber: Wendy Landes, Jeannie McLaughlin, Jenny Coon, Norma Milton, Cortney Therrien, and Annie Burgess for all of their dedication and hard work. We couldn’t have done it without them!
It was really great seeing everyone enjoying the evening. Let’s do it again soon, it’s nice to get together for an evening!
