2009 Limestone Remembrance Walk-a-thon in memory of former librarian

The Robert A. Frost Memorial Library in Limestone will be sponsoring the ‘Linda M. Page Remembrance Walk,’ Saturday, Sept. 19, honoring the memory of a special long-time community member  and Friend of the Library.
Linda Page dedicated more than 25 years to the Frost library as a volunteer, assistant librarian, librarian, and, upon her retirement, as an active member of the Friends of the Library.
Page helped bring the library on-line with the computerized circulation program making it the first small library in Maine to use the technology. Her  enthusiasm regarding the library’s expansion project was evident in her committed volunteer work and she was a key member of the Library Expansion Focus Committee.
The late Mrs. Page was active in organizing and planning, as well as participating in the library’s annual Remembrance Walk-a-thon, since its inception seven years ago. She is and will continue to be greatly missed by everyone who knew her.  Registration for the Linda M. Page Remembrance Walk on Saturday, Sept. 19, will start at 9 a.m., with the walk to commence at 10 a.m. from the library.
Community members are encouraged to join the staff of the Robert A. Frost Memorial Library in remembering this special lady.
Donations from the walk-a-thon will go to  the Endowment Fund at the library.
For more information, pledge sheets, or to give a donation in Mrs. Page’s memory, contact the library at 42 Main Street in Limestone or call 325-4706.
