The Southern Aroostook Lady Warriors defeated rival Katahdin to remain undefeated at 4-0 on the season.
The Warriors were the only local boy’s team to pick up a win last week, as they defeated rival Katahdin, as well.

Andrew Gilman scored East Grand’s lone goal. Goalies Abe and Alex Brittain combined for 25 saves on 32 shots for the Vikings.
Bangor Christian 6, Katahdin 1 – At Bangor Saturday, Micky Savage scored the lone Katahdin goal in the loss to Bangor Christian.
Six different players scored for the Patriots in their opening match of the season.
Katahdin was outshot by a 35-4 margin, with Cougar goalkeeper Jesse McNally saving 17 shots.
Ashland 3, Hodgdon 2 — At Hodgdon Thursday, Ashland saw a quick 3-0 lead nearly evaporate as the Hornets let Hodgdon back into the game. Taylor Condon, Lucas Hafford and Alex Chasse each had a goal for Ashland. Kenny Tarr and Condon both had one assist.
For Hodgdon, Wade Estabrook scored a goal in each half.
Bobby Gardner had seven saves on 15 shots for the Hornets, while Dan McGillicuddy had 11 saves on 24 shots for the Hawks.
Southern Aroostook 8, Katahdin 2 – At Stacyville Thursday, the Warriors won convincingly thanks to three goals by Pat Goodall and two goals each by Dakota Sleeper and Jake Lassonde.
Goodall also had an assist in the contest, while Vance Gustin scored his team’s other goal and Dylan Willette contributed a pair of assists. Anthony Diaferio also assisted on a goal, while goalie Jesse Boulier had six saves on 11 shots.
Koby Gallagher scored both Cougar goals. Mickey Savage had an assist. Jesse McNally and Sam Vetter minded the goal for Katahdin, combining for 18 saves on 29 shots.
Fort Fairfield 3, Hodgdon 1 — At Fort Fairfield last Tuesday, Josh Churchill, Brian Hale and Kenny Hernandez each had one goal to pace the Tigers to victory. Andrew Lane had Hodgdon’s only goal.
Chris Weeks stopped eight of 12 shots for Fort Fairfield, while Dan McGillicuddy had eight saves on 24 shots for the Hawks.
Girls soccer wrap
Bangor Christian 3, Katahdin 1 – At Bangor Saturday, the host Patriots rallied from a 1-0 second-half deficit to defeat Katahdin, with Katherine Bragg scoring all three goals for BC.
Melissa Duffy scored to put the Cougars on the board eight minutes into the second half before Bragg took over.
Makayla Patterson, in goal for the Cougars, made 18 saves while facing 30 shots.
Ashland 4, Hodgdon 0 — At Hodgdon Thursday, playing on a rough field, the Hornets handed Hodgdon a shutout loss. Jessica Jimmo scored a pair of goals to lead the Hornet attack, while Macie Pelkey had a goal and an assist and Brooke Labelle had one goal.
Ashland held a commanding 32-5 advantage in shots and an 11-3 edge in corner kicks. Taylor Baker and MacKenzie Belanger were relatively untested sharing time in net for Ashland as the two combined for five saves. Emmaly Jurson had 12 saves for the Hawks.

SAVE – Hodgdon goalie Emmaly Jurson flips the ball over the crossbar during Thursday’s girls soccer game against Ashland. Jurson had 12 saves for the Hawks in the 4-0 loss.
Janel Rockwell and Rochelle Nadeau also tallied goals for SA, with Olivia Raymond and Alex Bishop picking up assists. Warrior ’keeper Emily Cummings faced just two shots in the match.
Kali Rush scored a second-half goal for the Cougars, while teammate Makayla Patterson had 17 saves on 21 shots.
Fort Fairfield 3, Hodgdon 1 — At Fort Fairfield Tuesday, Emily Blaisdell, Courtney Churchill and Kacie York each netted one goal to lead the Tigers to victory over the visiting Hawks. Brooke Beaulieu had two assists for Fort Fairfield.
Kensie Palmer scored the lone goal for Hodgdon.
Katy Donovan had six saves on eight shots for Fort Fairfield, while Emily Jurson had 17 saves on 23 shots for the Tigers.
