HOULTON, Maine — The Houlton Community Chorus has announced their schedule for the fall season. The first rehearsal will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 17 at the Methodist Church Hall on Military Street. Rehearsals will be held every Thursday except for Thanksgiving week and the week of the performance.
The program will have three sections to include Couple Songs, America on the Water, and Holiday Favorites. Chorus director for the 2009 winter concert is Rebecca DeWan, 5-12 vocal music teacher for SAD 29. Accompanist is Kyle Green, computer programmer for MMG Insurance.
The concert will be held Friday evening, Dec. 18, in the newly renovated Houlton High School Auditorium. The Houlton High School Chorus will combine with the Community Chorus for two selections.
