    SOMERSWORTH, NH — Paul Lewis Corey Sr., 67, of 310 Tri-City Road, died Sunday, Sept. 6, 2009, at The Wentworth-Douglass Hospital, Dover, after a period of declining health. Paul was born in Hodgdon, ME, on Feb. 5, 1942, and was the son of Donald and Juanita (Foster) Corey. He was raised in Hodgdon and was a graduate of Houlton High School.
    Paul and his wife, Margaret, had lived in Somersworth for the past nine years, coming from Gonic. Mr. Corey had worked for a time with Spaulding Fiber but had recently retired from Pratt-Whitney in North Berwick, ME, as a C&C lathe operator after 17 years of service with the company.
    Paul enjoyed crossword puzzles, enjoyed sports and had a knack for cooking which he loved to do. He loved his cat, Stuart. But most of all he will be missed by his children and grandchildren, which meant the world to him.
    Family members include his wife of 43 years, Margaret "Peggy" (Fitzpatrick) Corey of Somersworth; his sons, Paul Corey Jr. and his wife, Tina, both of Cotton Town, Tenn., and Christopher Corey and his wife, Andrea, both of Rochester. He leaves his daughters, Paulette Brown and her husband, Joseph, both of Somers-worth, Ellen Norwood and her husband, Timothy, both of Whitehouse, Tenn., and Heidi Warner and her husband, Vernon, both of Eliot, ME. Paul leaves his two brothers, Gary Corey of Houlton, ME, and Peter Corey of Hodgdon, ME, and a sister, Sharon Crowder of Houlton, ME. Other family members include his six grandchildren, Marissa, Jennifer, Kaitlyn, Kasey, Taylor and Lexi; his two stepgrandchildren, Danielle and Randee. He also leaves several aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and cousins.
    Funeral services were held in Bernier Gelinas Funeral Home, 49 South St., Somersworth, on Thursday, Sept. 10, at 4 p.m. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to The Somersworth Food Pantry, 176 W. High Street, Somersworth, NH 03878.
