Caribou Firefighter Lance Longley, 34, has served with the local fire service for 15 years. “I became involved with the Caribou Fire Department because I wanted to help out my community,” said Longley “I look at it like a job that I love to do, because if I was in need of help I would want someone to help me,” he added. A paid-call member of the Caribou Fire Department, Firefighter Lance also works as a pre-sales account manager for the Pepsi Bottling Group. A resident of Caribou he and his wife Lisa have two children, Lariah and Logan. When he is not at the firehouse or working at his other job, the young firefighter enjoys spending time with his family.
Firefighter Lance would like the residents of the Caribou and surrounding communities to understand, “ If you see us (fire, ambulance or police) going to a scene, please stay back so we can do our work. Also, we are all normal citizens — so don’t be afraid to say, ’hi’.”
In addition, the Caribou Fire/Ambulance and Rescue Team member stated, “I just want to thank the city of Caribou and the surrounding communities for allowing me the opportunity to be of service.”
