The Greater Houlton Christian Academy cross-country team hosted Limestone and Fort Kent in an Aroostook League Cross-country Meet last Wednesday.
The runners paced themselves over the three-mile Drake’s Hill course, with Limestone’s Pat Brown finishing first in a time of 17:09, followed by GHCA’s Ren Shirai and Micah Wiley with times of 18:06 and 18:28, respectively.
Rounding out the field were as follows: Noah Entwisle, Limestone, 18:51; Jaron Gray, GHCA, 19:02; Lucas Woodward, Fort Kent, 19:03; Ted Martin, Fort Kent, 21:24; Alan Bryan, Fort Kent, 21:36; Justin Thompson, Limestone, 22:15 and Ryan Campbell, GHCA, 22:35.
On the girl’s side, Limestone’s Lucy Wilcox was clocked coming across the finish line in a time of 20:41, followed by Cassidy Spencer, Fort Kent, 21:35 and Whitney Cote, GHCA, 25:23.
On Sept. 2, the GHCA runners participated in a meet with Presque Isle, Caribou and Fort Kent. The GHCA runners don’t have enough participants to classify a team score. Individual GHCA scores are as follows: girls, Cote, 19th in a time of 26:29; boys, Shirai, 12th, 19:07; Wiley, 16th, 20:19; Gray, 17th, 20:22 and Campbell finished with a time of 23:44.
