CARIBOU — Council for the Arts celebrates Caribou’s Sesquicentennial with a concert by the Grammy winning blues/rock group Los Lonely Boys at the Caribou Performing Arts Center (CPAC) on Thursday, Oct. 15.

The Los Lonely Boys, Henry, Jojo and Ringo Garza, will be playing at CPAC on Oct. 15. Their single “Heaven,” reached the No. 1 spot on the Billboard adult contemporary chart. Tickets are $25 in advance from the Aroostook Centre Mall or at Caribou One Stop. Tickets can also be purchased for $30 at the door.
The Council for the Arts will present the Brotherhood Acoustic Tour, a live concert featuring Los Lonely Boys and Alejandro Escovedo, who has recorded 12 albums in the Austin, Texas music scene.
Los Lonely Boys, consisting of brothers Henry, Jojo and Ringo Garza, struck multi-platinum with their first single on the Sony/Epic label “Heaven,” which reached the number-one spot on the Billboard adult contemporary chart. This single, a mainstay of FM radio airplay in 2004 and 2005, netted the group a Grammy Award from National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences for Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group.
Los Lonely Boys have also had other songs nominated for Grammy’s in 2006 — “More than Love” and “Onda.”
“This is exactly the top shelf type performance we want to present to the people of Aroostook County and western New Brunswick,” said Council for the Arts member Mark Turner. “This partnership between the CPAC and the Council for the Arts is, once again, the conduit between first class performing arts groups and CPAC’s first class performing arts space.”
Tickets are available at the Caribou One Stop and at the Aroostook Centre Mall for $25. Tickets will also be available for $30 at the door.
