The Maine Educational Opportunity Center will be hosting free workshops entitled Essentials of College Planning at the following times and locations: Houlton Higher Education Center, 18 Military St., on Thursday, Oct. 8, 15, 22 and 29 at 9 a.m. Additional workshops will be held in the Presque Isle CareerCenter, 66 Spruce St, Ste.1, on Wednesday, Oct. 14 and 28 at 9 a.m. To register or for more information, call 1-800-281-3703 or visit http://meoc.maine.edu.
The workshops outline the four steps in the college process: admissions, financial aid, career planning, and study skills and last approximately 2–3 hours. Pre-registration is required and all workshops are subject to change.
