Caribou had a huge shot advantage Saturday, but could muster only one goal in its victory over Hermon at home.

The Vikes also gave unbeaten Presque Isle one of its toughest matches of the season, but fell by a 3-2 margin in Presque Isle last Wednesday.
The Limestone-MSSM girls downed Fort Fairfield in a battle of playoff-bound teams.
The following is a recap of games played through Monday, Oct. 12.
Caribou 1, Hermon 0— At Caribou Saturday, the Vikings improved to 8-3-1 with a close victory over Hermon. Jenna Selander scored the game’s only goal. Brittany Doak had eight saves on 11 shots for the Vikings, while Sara Bishop had 16 saves on 29 shots.
Madawaska 4, Fort Fairfield 2 — At Madawaska Thursday, the Tigers received goals from Emily Blaisdell and Kacie York, but it was not enough as Fort Fairfield fell to Madawaska. Valerie Parker had two goals and an assist for the Owls, while Meagan Ouellette and Erin Dugal had solo goals. Olivia Pelletier and Nicole Cyr had assist for Madawaska.
Amanda Nadeau had four saves on eight shots, while Katy Donovan had 15 saves on 25 shots.
Presque Isle 3, Caribou 2 — At Presque Isle Wednesday, the Vikings and Wildcats met for the second time on the season, with the same result – a Presque Isle victory. Brooke Long-Postell broke a 2-2 tie with 4:39 remaining on a direct kick from 35 yards away.
Chandler Guerrette and Amy Grivois booted in first half goals, while Chelsea Lynds and Elise Jones added assists for the Wildcats.
Lydia Kieffer and Olivia Sleeper each had a goal for the Vikings.
Wildcat Kelsey Park had eight saves on 10 shots, while Brittany Doak had 14 saves on 18 shots for Caribou.
Limestone-MSSM 4, Fort Fairfield 3 — At Fort Fairfield Tuesday, Oct. 6, Bethany Berry scored two goals to lift Limestone-MSM to the one-goal victory over Fort Fairfield. Danielle Pelkey and Victoria St. Pierre also had one goal each for the Eagles, while Amanda Allen and Stephanie Leighton each had an assist.
Lindsey Graves had two goals for Fort Fairfield, while Kylie Plourde and York added a goal and an assist respectively.
Audra Kirk had seven saves on 19 shots for the Eagles, while Donovan had six saves on 12 shots for the Tigers.
