The University of Maine at Presque Isle will holds its second annual Midnight Madness event for the women’s and men’s basketball teams Tuesday, Oct. 20 beginning at 9 p.m. at Wieden Auditorium.
The players of both teams will be introduced, and there will be giveaways, games and a student vs. faculty basketball game.
begins Oct. 19 in PI
The Dutch Soccer Academy will begin its indoor soccer session Monday, Oct. 19 at Northern Maine Community College in Presque Isle.
The schedule is as follows: 3-4 p.m., pre-kindergarten and kindergarten; 4-5 p.m., grades 1 and 2; 5-6 p.m., grades 3 and 4; 6-7 p.m., grades 5 and 6; 7-8 p.m., grades 7 and 8; 8-9 p.m., grades 9-12.
The meeting dates for the first trimester are Oct. 19 and 26, Nov. 2, 9, 16 and 30 and Dec. 7 and 14.
There is a one-time registration fee of $15 and the cost for the eight sessions is $60. All participants receive a DSA T-shirt.
