State Rep. Bernard Ayotte, Caswell, recently presented Caswell residents Beecher and Viola King, with a legislative sentiment in recognition of their 50th wedding anniversary.
The couple exchanged vows on Oct. 24, 1959, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Hamlin, with the Rev. Ludger Melancon officiating. Friends and family gathered at the Dawn F. Barnes Elementary School on Oct. 25, to celebrate the occasion.
The legislative sentiment read: “We the members of the Senate and House of Representatives, join with their children and grandchildren in extending our congratulations and best wishes to Beecher and Viola. May they enjoy many more years of happiness together.”
