LIMESTONE — The Limestone Selectpeople have been revamping the former vehicle maintenance agreement since early summer and at short regularly scheduled meeting on Dec. 16, the contract was finally approved between the town, Caldwell’s Auto, LLC and Cote Auto Repair, Inc.     The selectpeople also signed a purchase and sale agreement for a property on Long Road and accepted a bid for a property on the Access Highway.
During the elected officials reports, Selectperson Chair Walt Elliott informed the board of a proposed ordinance he received for board members to look over that, if accepted, would put the proper guidelines in place that would allow for the removal of an elected official.
Nothing in the current town bylaws is in place for the removal of a selectperson and the proposed ordinance would require a town meeting for approval.
The next meeting of the Limestone Selectpeople is scheduled for Jan. 6 at 6:30 in the Limestone Municipal Building.
