HOULTON — The Houlton Police Department is offering a Citizens Police Academy beginning Feb. 24. Classes will meet on Wednesday for 10 consecutive evenings at the Houlton Police Department, 97 Military St., from 6:30-9:30 p.m.
The academy is free and open to all Houlton residents and persons employed in Houlton that are 18 years of age or older.
“This is a great opportunity to visit and learn about the Houlton Police Department,” chief Butch Asselin said. “Training sessions and lectures will focus on the various aspects of law enforcement with emphasis on the duties and responsibilities of your local police department. The public is highly encouraged to attend.”
