Hot Shot winners advance to regionals

    The Red Claws Basketball Organization is now a cosponsor with the Maine Recreation and Parks Association of the Hot Shot Basketball competition.  As part of this state organization, the Houlton Recreation Department held its annual Hot Shot Basketball Tournament on Feb. 3 at the Gentle Memorial Building. The top three winners of each age group will continue on to the regional competition in Caribou on Wednesday, Feb. 17.  
    Those qualifying for the Regional are: 9-10 year old, girls, first, Kristen Graham; second, Kolleen Bouchard and third, Aspen Flewelling; 9-10 year old, boys, first Garrett Siltz; second, Cameron Stevens and third, Isaac Potter; 11-12 year old, girls, first, Piper Flewelling; 11-12 year old, boys, first, Mohamed Diane and second, Cameron Graham and 13-15 year old, girls, first, Emily Mooers and second, Nichole Goguen.
  Other participants were: Carolyn Mooers, Rebecca Mooers and Jakob Malone.
