She was also fond of the drives her and her son Geoff would take in the fall and admire all the changes in trees and landscape. Bertha was a beautiful seamstress and enjoyed crocheting. She loved her family dearly and will be missed by them.

Skidgell and his wife Susan of Mapleton, four daughters: Norma Rockwell of Old Town; Jean Paradis and her husband Roland of Bristol, CT; Barbara Clark and her husband Edward of Ashland; and Shirley Chesnutt and her husband Charles of Brunswick. She also leaves behind a brother Arthur Boyles of Castle Hill, 19 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and a special great-great-grandson Kyler Clark and a special friend Vivian Anderson.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Cecil N. Skidgel, three brothers: Rueben, Wallace, Bud, and four sisters: Captolia, Hazel, Martha, and Viola.
Funeral services were conducted 2 p.m. Tuesday, at the Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church St., Presque Isle with Pastor Nathan Gardiner officiating.
