Cawley and Potter promoted at bank

    HOULTON – Katahdin Trust Co. Senior Vice President of Commercial Services Peter St. John has announced the promotions of Robert J. Cawley to assistant vice president/senior credit analyst and Barrett S. Potter to vice president/commercial services officer. 

    “These individuals have earned these promotions by exhibiting tremendous dedication and commitment to Katahdin Trust Co. and are highly valued members of our team,” said St. John.

Robert J. Cawley

ImageCawley joined Katahdin Trust Co. in 2000 as a credit analyst and was promoted to assistant vice president in 2007. He is responsible for overseeing the bank’s credit analysts and analyzing business financial statements to provide a foundation for the bank’s loan decision making.
    A Presque Isle native, Cawley is a graduate of the University of Southern Maine in Portland where he received a bachelor of science degree in business administration and Bentley College Graduate School in Massachusetts with a master’s degree in accounting. He also attended the Northern New England School of Banking in Durham, N.H. and received his general banking diploma from the Northern New England Center for Financial Training.
    Cawley currently serves as a trustee for the Presque Isle Development Fund, a member of the SAD 1 board of directors and member of the SAD 1 curriculum, finance, and negotiations committee. He resides in Presque Isle with his wife, Trudy, and two children, Christopher and Michelle.

 

Barrett S. Potter

Image Potter joined Katahdin Trust Co. in 2006 as assistant vice president/commercial services officer. His responsibilities include business lending and development in the southern Aroostook County area.
    A Fort Fairfield native, Potter obtained his bachelor of arts degree in accounting and business management from the University of Maine at Presque Isle and his master’s degree in business administration from the University of Maine at Orono. He is also a certified public accountant and certified internal auditor.
    Potter presently serves as a board member for the Greater Houlton Chamber of Commerce, assistant boys’ varsity basketball coach for Greater Houlton Christian Academy, and pee-wee basketball coach at the Houlton Recreation Department. He resides in Houlton with his wife, Mary, and two children, Rachel and Isaac.
