    AUGUSTA – In Augusta, the Maine Association of Basketball Coaches (MABC) announced the A/B West, C/D West, A/B East and C/D East player selections for the 2010 Maine McDonald’s® High School Senior All-Star Basketball Games.
    Players representing 62 high schools from across the state have been honored with selection to the All-Star teams. The All-Stars were selected based upon ballot returns on a statewide high school basketball coaches’ vote conducted by the MABC in January.
    “Since 1988, the local owner/operators of Maine’s McDonald’s restaurants have been committed to recognizing student athletes across the state with this hallmark sporting event,” said Mike Ortins, local Maine McDonald’s owner/operator. “We salute the Maine McDonald’s All-Star Team players for their dedication to academic and athletic excellence, sportsmanship and team spirit.”
    The 2010 Maine McDonald’s High School Senior All-Star Games will be played at Newman Gymnasium on the campus of Husson University in Bangor on Saturday, March 13.  The game-day program will feature head-to-head competition between top players in the state’s A/B and C/D boys and girls divisions.
    The March 13 game-day schedule is as follows: 8:30-9 a.m., state foul shooting championship; 9:15-10:30 a.m., girls C/D game; 10:30-10:45 a.m., three-point shooting competition; 11 a.m.-12:15 p.m., girls A/B game; 12:15-1 p.m., awards presentation and McDonald’s Melt-Down Half Time Show; 1:15-2:30 p.m., boys A/B game; 2:30-2:45 p.m., Slam Dunk competition and 3-4:15 p.m., boys C/D game.
    All-Star players, all-star coaches, members of the All-State academic teams, regional foul shooting champions, Maine McDonald’s Spirit of the Game Award recipient, the MABC Contributor Award honoree, and Mr. and Miss Basketball will be recognized at an awards banquet on Friday, March 12, beginning at 7 p.m. at Husson University’s Newman Gymnasium.
    The 2010 Team Rosters are as follows:
    C/D East – Girls: Nicole Osborne, Calais High School; Taylor Boucher, Fort Kent High School; Vanessa Lougee, Foxcroft Academy; India Frazier, George Stevens Academy; Vanessa Sanderson, Houlton High School; Ally Sherman, Orono High School; Rebecca Leavitt, Stearns High School; Elizabeth Goodall, Southern Aroostook Community High School; Andi Flannery, Washington Academy and Ariel Knights, Woodland Junior Senior High School.
    C/D East – Boys: Jeremy Carr, Calais High School; Josiah Richard, Foxcroft Academy; A.J. Coleman, Orono High School; Jared Waite, Schenck High School; Dakota Sleeper, Southern Aroostook Community High School; Garen Manzo, Stearns High School; Bryce Colbeth, Washington Academy; Ben Teer, Washington Academy; Noah von Rotz, Washington Academy and Elias Springer, George Stevens Academy.
    Tickets may be purchased at the door on Saturday, March 13 and are good for all four games. Tickets are $7 for adults and $5 for students, children and senior citizens.
