Oakfield Seniors gather
The senior citizens met at the Smoki-Haulers Snowmobile club for its March meeting. A lunch of hot dogs and different kinds of salads, chips and desserts was served. The treasurer’s, secretary’s and the card report were given by Wanetta Townsend.
Cards will be sent to our sick friends. The club was decorated by Marie Gillotti. She always does a good job. We had 25 members and two guests.
Nancy Chandler from Maine Public Service was a special and very interesting speaker. She had all kinds of interesting things about how to save on your electric bill. She did a presentation on how to read your meter, the difference in light bulbs, how to insulate your house, and how long it takes to use a kilowatt-hour.
Birthdays were Mary Lawler and Mildred Gagnon. Attending were Geneve Bell, Kathleen Boutlier, David Burpee, Evelyn and Merle Burpee, Bernice Campbell, Martha Chapados, Roger Ethier, Thelma Flowers, Arline Friel, Mildred Gagnon, Marie Gilotti, Sandra and Wendall Holmes, Delores and Bob Locke, Charlotte Lowell, Charlotte and Don Marley, Pete Peters, Peggy and Larry Sanders, Shirley Smith, Wannetta Townsend, Ginny Garrett and guests Nancy Chandler and Tess Buswell.

We always open with our pledge and roll call. We had nine ladies weigh-in and eight attended our meeting.
Our person who lost the most weight for the week, was Jackie Pratt and runner-up was Dotty Rand. Great job ladies!
Reports were given by our secretary and treasurer for the week.
Jackie Pratt led the program for the week. We had an oral quiz of which was interesting answers.
The Daffodils are still winning in our contest.
Meetings are great. Please feel welcome to our group every Wednesday 8-8:45 a.m. weigh-ins and meeting starts at 9 a.m. Call 365-4884 for more information.
