    FARLEY, Betty May, 67, PRESQUE ISLE, in Mars Hill, April 13, 2010. Visiting hours will be held Saturday, April 24, 2-4 p.m. with a short service at 4 p.m., at the funeral home, and a reception will follow. Arrangements are in the care of Duncan-Graves Funeral Home. 


 

    PRESQUE ISLE – It is with deep sadness that the family of Betty May Farley, 67, announces her passing at the Mars Hill Nursing Home with her loving husband by her side, April 13, 2010. She was born in Houlton, Maine, on February 28, 1943, daughter to Basil & Gladys (Smith) Boulier.
    Betty grew up in Houlton, Maine, with her sevem siblings, Florence Hanson, Joyce Bell, Maurice Boulier, Doris Barrows, Cleo Boulier, Judy Hersey and Larry Boulier. She was a 1961 graduate of Houlton High School.
    Betty worked full time at the Presque Isle Employment Office until her retirement in August 2009.
    Betty was most passionate about her children. The Memorial Day weekend to the vacation home in Deer Isle was something that she especially cherished. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and planned on traveling after retirement. She enjoyed camping and was an avid reader. She loved to watch horror movies and was very excited about Thursday night to watch “Survivor”.
    She was predeceased by her daughter, Sally Ann. Betty is survived by her husband, W. Ronald Farley; her two children, Susan Coffin and her partner, Betsy Hardy; Tracy Sylvester and her husband, CB; a granddaughter, Taryn; and grandson, Bryce. She is also survived by her step-children, Scott and Vicki Farley; grandchildren, Alexander and Michael; Ronald Farley, grandchildren, Caryanne and Ronald; Cheri and Sam Ouellette, grandchildren, Christina and Colby and TJ and Marcy Farley, grandchildren, Nathan and Bradley.
    The family would like to express its appreciation to all of Betty’s caretakers, her dearly loved co-workers, sincere friends and all those who supported the family during this time.
    Visiting hours will be held 2-4 p.m. Saturday, April 24, at Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church St., Presque Isle, where a short service will begin at 4 p.m. A reception will be after the service in the gathering area of the funeral home.
