Adelman is New Hampshire’s
Small Business Person of Year

Todd Adelman, chief executive officer and founder of Trade Wings at Pease International Tradeport, was named New Hampshire’s Small Business Person of the Year for 2010. Award recipients are chosen based on criteria such as sustained business growth, product innovation and contribution to the local community. Trade Wings is a global reuse optimization technology, consulting and outsourcing partner to the largest telecom carriers and equipment manufacturers.
MARS HILL native Todd Adelman, chief executive officer and founder of Trade Wings at Pease International Tradeport, was named New Hampshire’s Small Business Person of the Year for 2010.
Adelman joined the nation’s top small businesses in Washington, D.C., on May 26 to compete for National Small Business Person of the Year at the SBA’s National celebration. They attended a reception with President Barack Obama in the Rose Garden and enjoyed several other gatherings, meeting Karen Mills, administrator of the SBA and former Maine Governor Angus King. The winner and runners-up will be selected from among the small business winners from 50 states plus the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and Guam.
He was founder and president of Blue Fin Technologies, a global distributor of printed circuit board components, and founded Blue Fin Systems, a local Internet service provider which was acquired by Ultra Net Systems in 1996.
Adelman, the son of Milton and the late Gloria Adelman of Mars Hill, was a 1977 graduate of Central Aroostook High School. He attended Boston’s Northeastern University and the University of Maine at Orono to get his bachelor’s degree in engineering, before obtaining his master’s degree at Suffolk University in Boston. He currently lives in Rollinsford, N.H., with his wife, Kristin, and children, Tucker, Zoe, Satchel and Deker.
