Store fronts to be decorated for alumni celebration

    Reunion 2010, the multi-class reunion being coordinated by the Houlton High School Alumni Association, will kick off on July 4 during the parade with alumni entries entered in the event.
    To add to the festivities, the alumni association would like individual classes to decorate storefront windows downtown with memorabilia from their graduating year. The windows were also decorated during the Centennial Celebration in 2000 and Reunion 2005 generating a positive response.
    Suggestions for the windows include pictures, newspaper clippings, yearbooks, uniforms and any other newsworthy events that occurred during the year of graduation.
    The windows may be decorated by anyone in the class. Alums are encouraged to get members together to work on the windows or contact their class representative from the alumni association (listed in the Alumni Association newsletter).
    Windows should be decorated prior to Midnight Madness which is scheduled for Saturday, July 3.   Businesses should be contacted prior to schedule a time for decorating. Information on the window decorating is available by contacting Janice Cowperthwaite Kelley ‘72 at 532-7123.

    1901-1945 — Fogg Block; 1946-1950 — Fogg Block (Hospitality Center); 1951, Country North Gifts; 1952-1955, Wayne Dwyer’s Barber Shop; 1956-1960 — QED; 1961-1962 — Shiretown Coins; 1963 — York’s Book Store; 1964 — Sage Financial; 1965-1967 – Cozy Corner (Broadway Street Windows); 1968 — Robert Ward, Attorney; 1969 — Fogg Block (Hospitality Center).
1970-1990
