George Edward Hoskin

Hoskin, George E., 69, April 22, 2010.  Interment to be held in the Evergreen Cemetery, Houlton, on June 26 at 11:30 a.m.
SCARBOROUGH – George Edward Hoskin, 69, of West Bath, Maine died April 22, 2010 at the Maine Veterans’ Home in Scarborough, Maine.  He was born September 17, 1940 in Houlton, Maine to parents George Robert  (Bob), deceased, and Elsie Louise Grant Hoskin.
    George is survived by two daughters, Joella Hoskin Anderson (husband, Keith) of High Point, North Carolina and Kerry Elaine Goodman of Linden, Michigan. Surviving grandchildren are Keith Grant Anderson, Jr. (age 13), Collin Edward Anderson (age 9), Spencer Daniel Goodman (age 6), and Lauren Joella Goodman (age 3). George is also survived by a brother, Royal Hoskin (wife, Susan) of Hollis Center, Maine, a niece, Betsy Hoskin of Portland, Maine, an aunt Freda Carson of Houlton, Maine and several other aunts, uncles, and cousins.
    Mr. Hoskin received a bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maine, and a bachelor degree in Business from the University of New Hampshire. He also served as a Lieutenant in the United States Navy from 1963 to 1970. Mr. Hoskin was a local business owner of Hoskin Enterprises in West Bath, Maine.
    A graveside service will be held on June 26, 2010 at 11:30 a.m. at the Evergreen Cemetery, 163 Smyrna Street, in Houlton, Maine. The service will be officiated by Mr. Hoskin’s uncle, Reverend John Hoskin of Gorham, Maine. The family has requested any memorials be directed to the Boy Scouts of America – "G.
