Domestic dispute results in arrest

    PRESQUE ISLE — Jerry Swimm, 39, of 297 Main Street, was arrested and charged with assault on June 18 after getting into an argument with his live-in girlfriend over drugs. 

    According to the Presque Isle Police Department, Swimm allegedly attacked his girlfriend, Sandra Perkins, and stole her headache medicine, which contained hydrocodone.
Scott L. Cray Jr., 27, of Mapleton was charged with OUI and sale and use of drug paraphernalia after police pulled him over on June 16. Cray was in possession of central nervous system depressants (tranquilizers/sedatives), narcotic analgesics (painkillers), and marijuana. Cray is scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 4.
Several windows at Skyway Middle School were broken during the night of June 15-16. The cost of the damages was not known, but it appeared the vandals used rocks to break several windows in the library. The vandals are also believed to have tipped over a Coca-Cola vending machine at the school that night.
