Varsity Knights
This Saturday, the varsity Knights are required to attend equipment measuring at the Cleary Law Office in Market Square from 10 a.m. to noon. During the two hours, players will weigh-in and have a brief team meeting.
Parents are also being asked to sign up for the Boosters Club at this time.
All players who are not able to attend should contact head coach Brian Reynolds.
Junior Knights
The junior Knights finished their mini-camp last Saturday, with 13 of the anticipated 25 junior-high aged players attending. Players learned position responsibilities, while offensive schemes and defensive formations were explained. The camp finished with skill drills and a team meeting.
Coaches are requesting a parent or friend of the junior Knights drop in for a short meeting at 10 a.m. at Cleary Law Office on Saturday. Coaches will be contacting parents and players for equipment handouts in the near future.
The first full practice begins on Monday, Aug. 2.
Peewee Knights
Twenty peewee Knights from Houlton and Woodstock attended their final mini-camp last Saturday. Coach Brian Forest was impressed with the number of players turning out. Many first-time players were introduced to football.
There will be an important meeting of peewee parents and friends on Saturday at Cleary Law Office, beginning at 10 a.m. Players will be contacted by Forest and coach Bill Creagh for equipment handouts. Practices for this group will begin mid-August.
