Looking for low cost summer fun with an enthusiastic group of friends? The sailing season is about to launch on East Grand Lake, a short half hour drive from Houlton.
Those interested in starting to sail are invited by the Peter’s Cove Yacht Club members to a no-cost “Get Acquainted with Sailing” gathering at 78 Chickadee Lane, Peter’s Cove, Orient, on Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon. In the event of rain, date will be changed to Sunday, June 27.
See various sailboat classes and talk with experienced sailors who will explain how quickly one can pick up the sport of small boat racing. A person does not need to own a sailboat to attend.
