Aroostook League announces all-stars

    Athletes have been selected for the Aroostook League’s 2010 All-Aroostook honors for their accomplishments during the spring sports season. 

    In Class B/C baseball: Caribou, Cameron Anderson, Chad Caverhill, Ethan McDuffie, Ted Walker and Nathaniel Kamm; Fort Kent, Jesse Guimond, Nick Michaud, Aaron Paradis and Jared Soucy; Hodgdon, Nick Lunn, Chris Wallace and Ryan Wellington; Houlton, Ian Gervais and Josh Harvey; Madawaska, Jeff Cyr and Jonathan Lee; and Presque Isle, Ethan Braley, Steven Ford, Dillon Kingsbury, Brennan Shaw and Wilder York.

    The recipient of the Emery Plourde 2010 Track Champion Award was Fort Fairfield’s Williams as the high point scorer at the Aroostook County Championships.
    Girls’ track events: Caribou, Dayna Michaud, Sarae Sager, Mary Jo Sheehan, Olivia Sleeper and Kendra Stephens; Fort Kent, Gabby Naranja; and Presque Isle, Erica Hemphill and Samantha Simonds.
    Girls’ field events: Caribou, Laura Collins, Danielle MacDonald and Morgan Swan.
    Girls’ track and field events: Caribou, Mackenzie Belyea, Katie Plourde, Reanna Plourde, Jenna Selander, Paige Small and Megan Wood.
    The recipient of the Howard Lello 2010 Track Champion Award was Fort Kent’s Naranja as the high scorer at the Aroostook County Championships.
    Boys’ tennis singles: Caribou, Ezra Duplissie-Cyr and Nick Willey; Fort Kent, Alex Charette; Houlton, Luke Anderson and Zach Harvey; Madawaska, Nathan Beaulieu and Chris Lizotte; Presque Isle, Caleb Mathers and Connor Shaw; and Van Buren, Matthew Vick.
    Boys’ tennis doubles: Caribou, Phil Smith and Matt Coty; Fort Kent, Lucas Woodward and Logan Doak; Houlton, Cody Woods and Craig Thomas; Madawaska, Jacques Daigle and Jamie Cyr; Presque Isle, Emerson Castro and Kyle Gilson; and Van Buren, Mark Levasseur and  Brandon Ouellette.
