    Landers, Florice Elizabeth, 102, MAPLETON & FLORIDA, in Florida, May 5, 2010. A graveside funeral was held at the Bougainvillea Cemetery in Florida.


 

    Florice passed away May 5, 2010. Born on February 9, 1908, in Mapleton, she was the daughter of Sherman and Lucille Murphy Packard. She was one of nine children, all preceding her in death.
    Florice attended the Packard Elementary School in Mapleton, and Mapleton High School, where she was the last living member of the Class of 1926.
    She enjoyed country living and was in love with Mapleton and Aroostook County; in fact, she loved everything about Maine, except maybe too long a winter now and then.
    Her three daughters, Joan Dudley Thompson of Power Springs, GA, Carolyn Dudley Laing Of Oxford, ME, and Marilyn Dudley Degelman of Avon Park, FL, survive Florice. She also leaves seven grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
    On May 10, 2010, a graveside funeral was held at the Bougainvillea Cememtery in Avon Park, FL.
