Happy Days Club hosts Council on Aging

The Easton Happy Days Club met on June 10th for a potluck dinner. The speaker was Gerald Saucier and his wife Louise from Fort Fairfield. Mr. Saucier spoke on the importance of having the Northern Maine Council of Aging available in our communities. The Council provides fellowship, a chance to meet new friends, getting together and enjoying a good meal and conversation with each other which is very therapeutic. The members enjoyed meeting Gerald and his wife Louise. They are willing to help us in any way possible and have invited our club to their meeting to be at Mantle Lake on July 12.
Ten members were present at the meeting: Ida Doak, Glennis Craig, Marie Hewitt, Ezalee Smith, Regina Thomas, Lindy Fowler, Liana Demerchant, nina Trask Rena Richardson and Arlene Ladner. It was moved and seconded to buy a new electric grill from our Club monies, as it would be used often by the Club members. A big thank you to Gerald Saucier and his wife Louise for visiting the club and speaking on the function of the Northern Maine Council of Aging.
Visiting John and Nina Trask’s family was their daughter Norma Jean and her husband Peter from Orlando, Fla. Visiting from Jacksonville was their granddaughter Kristi with her husband Barrett and their two sons, Joshua and Matthew. They were all home to attend the graduation of Nina and John’s grandson, Ryan Thibeau from Presque Isle High School Class of 2010.
Also visiting from Jacksonville was Adam Trask, son of Randy Trask, where Adam is a personal trainer. They loved the cooler weather as it has been very hot in Florida. A busy time was spent with high school functions and a trip to Long Lake for a visit at Kirk and Cheryl Thibeau’s lake house.
Visiting from Bangor was a granddaughter, Tammy Trask Vachon, her husband, Steve and his daughter Phoenix.
Birthdays and anniversaries
Happy birthday on June 30th to Lisa Flewelling Haney. Also on June 30th is the anniversary of Tammy and Kim White and Nicki and Walter Lockhart.
On July 1st, Bradley Kinney, Cathy Kierstead, Simon Alexander, David Henderson and B.J. Dufour all have birthdays. Celebrating their birthdays on July 2nd are Kim White and Rocky Marquis. David and Charlotte Hopkins also have an anniversary on that day.
Jill Barnes and Paula White will be another year older on July 3rd. On July 4th Keeley Clark and Jean Kneeland will have a birthday to celebrate. Bernard and Gwen O’Mara have an anniversary on July 4th. Happy Anniversary to you both.
Happy birthday to Derrick White, Elsie Johnson and Bernard McAdam on July 6th. A special birthday wish to Derrick White. We love and miss you … thanks for serving our Country. Also on July 6th Traci and Tom Place and Renee and Andy Keep have wedding anniversaries to celebrate.
