Hunter Hanning led the way for Houlton with a 4-for-4 batting performance, including three singles and a triple, while Isaiah Straubel and Gage Hunt each pounded out two singles.
The Houlton team went ahead 4-0 over the first two innings before Holbrook picked up a run in the top of the fourth. In the fifth, Holbrook scored two more unearned runs on Houlton errors to pull to within a run, 4-3.
However, Houlton came back with three more runs in the bottom of the fifth and two more in the sixth, with Holbrook scoring their final run in the top of the seventh on an RBI-single.
Straubel threw four innings of no hit baseball, striking out three, walking three and allowing one run. Kyle Bouchard came on to pick up the save, throwing three innings of two-hit baseball, striking out two, and walking one.
The team will be in action again Saturday at 11 a.m. at Mansfield Stadium in Bangor.
