Braithwaite, Joyce E., 80, July 4, 2010.  Arrangements by Roberson Funeral Home and Crematory, Port Charlotte, Florida.     Joyce E. Braithwaite, 80, of Port Charlotte, Florida, formerly of Gas City, Indiana, passed away Sunday, July 4, 2010 in Bradenton, Florida.
    Joyce was born June 15, 1930 in Houlton, Maine to the late Harold and Helen (nee – Green) Connors. A retired administrative assistant for Mississinewa Public School System in Indiana, Joyce moved to Port Charlotte in 1984, and was a member of St. James Episcopal Church of Port Charlotte.
    She is survived by one son, Harold Bruce (wife Linda) Braithwaite, of Bradenton, FL; one brother, Charles (wife Ethel) Connors, of Port Charlotte, FL, two nieces, and numerous extended family members.
    Joyce was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 58 years, Richard E. “Rick” Braithwaite, in October of 2009.
    A Memorial Service celebrating Joyce’s life will be held at St. James Episcopal Church in late September of this year. A date will be announced.
