Vision of hoop shrine to be shared at tourney
Friday, July 23 is the date of the Maine State Basketball Hall of Fame Golf Tournament and Reception, to be held at Kebo Valley Country Club in Bar Harbor.
Special guests will include Gov. John E. Baldacci, Boston Celtics legendary player and coach K.C. Jones, former University of Maine coach Skip Chappelle and Maine Basketball Commissioner Peter Webb.
Immediately following the tournament, a reception with Jones will be held featuring hors d’oeuvres, a raffle and auction, and a presentation on the vision of the Maine State Basketball Hall of Fame.
The fee is $99 per person and the tourney is for both men and women and is an 18-hole event with a four-person scramble format.
There is a shotgun start beginning at noon and the tourney is limited to the first 32 teams.
