Due to Saturday’s rain, the Caribou Little League all-star games were postponed and pushed to this Saturday, July 17. The 9-10 year-old all-star game, pitting the American Division against the National Division, will take place at 10 a.m., followed by the 11-12 year-old contest at 1 p.m. The day will be capped by the annual managers, coaches and umpires softball game, which begins at 3 p.m.

Sleepers 27, Shop ’n Save 6
An 11-run first-inning rally was more than enough as Sleepers handled Shop ’n Save.
Mason Huck got to the plate seven times and hit safely every time. He logged a home run, a triple, two doubles and three singles and drove in eight of his team’s runs. Michael Hunter had six hits and five RBIs and Justin Ouellette homered as part of his four hits. Ouellette also got the pitching victory.
Dustin Demerchant had an RBI triple for Shop ’n Save.
Sleepers 21, Police 5
Sleepers broke open a close game with a 13-run outburst in the fifth inning to down Police.
Hunter went 5 for 5 with a triple and a pair of doubles, while Ouellette also had five hits.
Reece McDougal had three hits and had a strong effort on the mound for Police. Jake Whitten and Scott Long each notched a pair of hits.
Savings Bank of Maine 10, VFW 1
Jacob Burby and Brayden Burby handled the piching and catching duties admirably as Savings Bank of Maine bested VFW.
The two combined for three RBIs and Marcus Caudill scored twice for the victors.
David Smith pitched well for VFW and Evan Desmond had the team’s lone RBI.
Sleepers 22, Woodland Eagles 4
Hunter belted an inside-the-park home run, Justin Ouellette tripled and doubled twice and Jacob Ouellette singled and scored to lead Sleepers to the victory.
Hunter Milliard had a pair of hits and Erin McBreairty singled and had two RBIs for the Eagles.
Sleepers 33, Woodland Tigers 4
A 6-for-7 night at the plate for Hunter and a grand slam homer off the bat of Mason Huck which cleared the center field fence propelled Sleepers to the win.
Emma Belyea chipped in by going 2 for 3 and starting pitcher Camden Huck had four hits and six RBIs for the Sleepers squad. Cole Jackson, Spencer McDuffie and Stewart Curtis all made their pitching debuts in relief for the winners.
Brandon Manter had two hits for the Tigers.
Sleepers 18, Savings Bank of Maine 2
Sleepers used another big rally to beat the top team in the National Division.
An 11-run fourth inning helped Sleepers come out on top. Justin Ouellette went 5 for 5 with seven RBIs, while Hunter and Mason Huck combined for seven more hits to lead the way. Spencer McDuffie added a three-run triple and Camden Huck notched three hits.
Jacob Burby singled and scored and pitched well during his stint for Savings Bank of Maine.
Sleepers 16, North Stars 2
Mason Huck’s three-run homer over the center field fence in the first inning sparked the win in Stockholm.
Justin Ouellette had a four-hit game for the winners. Huck gained the win on the mound, with relief help from Riley McDuffie.
Kevin Bither hit a triple, Austin Findlen singled and Gunnar Bondeson also singled for the North Stars. Findlen also sparked the offense.
K of C 21, Woodland Tigers 0
A 24-hit attack lifted the Knights to the big win.
Nine of the 10 players for K of C had multiple-hit games, with Kyle Soetart-Beaulier nailing an inside-the-park homer and Connor Plourde leading the charge with four hits to highlight the Knights’ offense.
Garrison Doody had the lone hit for the Tigers.
