FORT KENT — Dr. Rachel E. Albert, vice president for academic affairs at University of Maine at Fort Kent has announced that 307 students were named to the Dean’s List for the spring 2010 semester.

Students attaining the honor must be degree candidates, enrolled as a full-time student or a part-time student, and must maintain a 3.20 grade point average on a 4.0 scale for the semester with no grades below a “C.”

 

“On behalf of the faculty and staff at the University of Maine at Fort Kent, kudos and congratulations on your recent academic achievement. Because of your outstanding academic performance, I’m pleased to include your name on the Dean’s List for the spring semester of 2010. You represent the top twenty-percent of high student achievers. Most often, students who reflect this level of dedication to their studies become future leaders. I encourage you to continue with the same degree of intensity, concentration, and engagement in your studies, which has enabled you to be successful. The UMFK family is proud of your achievements and wishes you the best of continued student success,” said Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Rachel E. Albert.

Among the 307 on the Dean’s List were Christie Ewing, Heather Holmquist, Stephanie Martin, Heather Michaud, Nicole Moss, Amanda Pelletier, Stephanie Plourde, Leah Sturzl, Laura Tardif, Benjamin Willey and Rita Zbylut all of Caribou.

Michelle Beaulieu and Chandra Von Merta of Limestone; Cassandra Davenport, Joshua Doucette, Lisa MacLeod and Darsey Plourde of New Sweden; Kristin Goupille, Kelsey King and Kathleen Michaud of Perham; Lori Costello of Stockholm, Angela Dow of Washburn and Ryan Wishart of Woodland.
