Tests are unfair to unemployed
To the editor:
The use of an aptitude test to determine who is hirable and who is not when it concerns just basic jobs like unloading trucks or stocking shelves in the store or warehouse is wrong and a blatant form of discrimination. Where I come from you judge people by their actions, not by some test that is meaningless dribble and flimflam.
A test does not build a bridge or drive a truck or bull dozer or work in the local store, hospital or fire station. A test can’t make plywood, 2 by 4s or build houses or fight our wars. I call on the large employers to rethink these tests and remember that you should judge a man or woman by action not some test.
