Once again garnered the support of Aroostook County law enforcement officials, as members of various departments took to the pavement in June to raise awareness and relay the torch from town to town. Taking part this year, pictured in front from left are: Sgt. Shawn Newell, Fort Fairfield Police Department; Officer Lynn Hartley and Sgt. Joey Seeley, Presque Isle Police Department; Maine Forest Ranger Robbie Gross (with torch); volunteer runner Pamela Lilley; Officer Larry Fickett, PIPD; and Fred Parsons, Presque Isle Fire Department. In back from left are: Border Patrol Agent Losieniecki, an unidentified law enforcement officer and Border Patrol Agent Parmelee. The group stopped briefly in downtown Presque Isle to meet with local Special Olympic athletes, then lined up to continued south to deliver the torch to the next group of runners.
