Time is running out for public school teachers to post their classroom projects on DonorsChoose.org for the opportunity to get a share of the $1 million that U.S. Cellular is donating through its second annual Calling All Teachers campaign. The last day to post a project is Sept. 15.
U.S. Cellular has partnered again with DonorsChoose.org, which helps public school teachers find money for all types of classroom projects ranging from math, science and history to special needs, health and fitness. In 2009 U.S. Cellular funded more than 2,000 classroom projects.
“With school back in session, this is a great time for teachers to determine their needs for the upcoming year,” said Charles Best, founder and CEO of DonorsChoose.org.
U.S. Cellular will announce which classroom projects were funded in October.
“If you know a teacher who is paying for classroom supplies out of their own pocket, tell them about Calling All Teachers,” said Eric Conlon, director of sales for U.S. Cellular in New England. “We believe they deserve some help for all they do for our children.”
