     TERRELL, Doris I., 89, BLAINE, at Mars Hill, September 15, 2010. Arrangements are in the care of Duncan Funeral Home, Mars Hill.


 

    BLAINE – Doris I. Terrell, 89, went to be with her Lord on September 15, 2010, at the Aroostook Health Center in Mars Hill. She was born on December 4, 1920, in Blaine, the daughter of Lyle and Annie (VanTassle) Beals.
    She worked at a factory during the war in Worcester, Mass., making electrical components for airplanes. She also worked at the Aroostook Shoe and the The Aroostook Medical Center in Presque Isle. Doris was the church organist for 56 years at Free Baptist Church in Blaine, and member of the Happy Hour Club. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and quilting. She made lap quilts for patients at the nursing home.
    She is survived by two sons, Dennis Dyer of Lillian, Alabama, and Kirk Terrell and his wife Sue of Blaine;  a daughter, Sharon Dyer Dagnello and her husband Angelo of Worcester, MA;  a step-son, Ralph Terrell of Colorado; and step-daughter, Vicki Crawford of Texas; two sisters, Juanita Rideout of Mars Hill, and Mildred Bradstreet of Brunswick; 15 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren.
    She was predeceased by her husband, Harry Terrell; a daughter, Deanna Dyer Tyler; a grandson, Alden Prosser; three siblings, Eugene, Otis and Phyllis Beals; and a step-son Guy Terrell.
    Relatives and friends called 6-8 p.m. Friday, at Duncan Funeral Home, 8 Main St., Mars Hill. Funeral services were held 2 p.m. Saturday, at the Free Baptist Church in Blaine, with Pastors Gardner Smith and Lawrence Beals officiating. Interment was at Tapley Cemetery, Blaine.
