It’s getting down to crunch time for the Caribou Middle school soccer team as the Vikings (5-7) have just three games remaining on their schedule.

On Friday, the Vikings avenged an early season loss to Houlton with a 2-1 victory. Dustin Bouchard scored the game-winning goal for Caribou with just two minutes left in the game. Bouchard also scored the Vikings other goal early in the second  half from Dayne Savage’s assist.

Goalie Ethan Plourde had a solid game in the net. Defensive stalwarts for Caribou were Taylor Thibodeau, Greg Martin, Mason Huck, and Austin Griffeth. On offense Brendan Cyr, Nick Frost, Paul Hanson, and Donovan Savage all played well. Houlton’s Kyle Bouchard scored his team’s only goal.

On Saturday, the Vikings followed up with a 4-0 shutout over Fort Fairfield in a well-played game by both teams. Caribou got three goals in the second half to get the win. Bouchard and Savage netted a pair of goals each in the contest. Assists were collected by Taylor Thibodeau and Michael Hunter. Plourde collected the shutout in goal.
