Buzzell to further training at Edward Jones

BU-Buzzell-CLR-dc1-ARSH-3 9Betty Buzzell of Caribou, a Presque Isle branch office administrator for Edward Jones for the past two years has announced a career move to becoming a financial advisor with the financial services firm.

“Edward Jones values the individual investor and understands that people still want to do business with someone they know and trust,” stated Buzzell. “I’ve chosen to pursue this path to help individual investors define their financial goals and work toward meeting them.”

Before a new Edward Jones financial advisor can even open an office, he or she must spend several months making face-to-face visits with the residents and business people in the community. Buzzell must also complete one of the most rigorous training programs in the financial services industry which includes three months of 10-hour days, six days a week.

Although well-versed in the technical aspects of investments, the training doesn’t end there as Edward Jones places a great deal of emphasis on continuing education and its financial advisors literally train throughout their entire careers.

“I believe in Edward Jones’ philosophy of building one-on-one, long-term relationships with clients and I know that the firm’s conservative investment style and buy-and-hold philosophy are proven investment strategies,” Buzzell said.

A graduate of Caribou High School, Buzzell attended the University of Maine at Presque Isle and the University of Massachusetts in Amherst. She resides in Caribou with her sons, Carl and Erik and is a member of the Caribou Rotary Club.
