CARIBOU – Summaries of recent Caribou Parks and Recreation Department pee wee soccer games are as follows:
In the Premier League for grades 3 and 4, the Revolution and the Rapids squared off, with Brandon Jalbert scoring the Rev’s first goal in this game followed by a hat trick from Kassie Krul and a netted ball by Kaylyn Krul. Gabe Rand and Kassie Krul each added assists. Great defense was played by Jalbert, and Riley McNeal while explosive hustle was demonstrated from Tyler Shade and Alexis Rodriguez.
The Rapids had many shot opportunities by Alex Ezzy. Austin Findlen saved many goals and did a great job. The defense held their own against a very tough Revolution team.
The Metrostars and Galaxy engaged in lively back and forth battle with many exciting plays. Parker Deprey scored all three goals for the Metro stars, but not without some excellent play from John O’Meara, Tiernan Barbosa and Hayden Hunter. Theo Strid assisted on one of the goals. Kerrigan Haney played well defensively, Willow Whitten again excelled with the ball, and Ghent Durepo played well in goal. The Metrostars were able to generate lots of shots on goal and played good team defense throughout the game, effectively marking several of the Galaxy’s talented players.
Alex Bouchard for the Galaxy team scored two goals. Seth Roy added a goal and played great on the offensive side. Cullin Caverhill just missed a couple of great scoring opportunities and showed lots of hustle on both end of the field. Tiahna Cyr, Elsie Patton and Aiden Plant all played very well on defense.
The Galaxy took on the Revolution, with Kassie Krul scoring four times in this game with Gabe Rand putting two goals in the net and Kylan Krul one. The team displayed excellent hustle and defense by Rand, Riley McNeal and Alexis Rodriguez. Tyler Shade and Brandon Jalbert had some nice offensive moves. Kayln Krul stayed composed as she knocked in a penalty shot for her goal. A total team effort by the Revolution helped contribute to the team’s success.
The Galaxy gave it their all with a total team effort against a very good Revolution team. Owen McQuarrie, Jasmine Olson and Tabitha Saucier all demonstrated lots of hustle on the field. Alex Bouchard and Cullin Caverhill had some great scoring opportunities.
In the World League for grades 5-6, Arsenal and Chelsea hooked up for a match, and although illness riddled players on both sides, an iron man match was completed. Matt Nadeau, Connor Plourde, Ashley Mattlock and Gabrielle Marquis played well for the Chelsea team. Both teams made great passes, played strong defense and kept pressure on the other team throughout the entire game.
In the first quarter, Arsenal put pressure on the Chelsea team with Trey Taylor and Josiah Krul having many scoring opportunities. Evan Desmond made a great save in goal. In the second quarter, Erin Randall worked the ball well into the Chelsea end. Krul made two goals and Taylor made several solid saves in goal.
In the third quarter, Arsenal kept the pressure on Chelsea with Dylan Bonville, Desmond, Krul and Taylor making shots on goal. In the final quarter, Desmond added two goals to the tally with an assist from Maddie Doucette. Krul netted another to the team total with Doucette making a shot on goal. The highlight of the second half came as Hannah MacDonald and Doucette each played goal for the first time. Neither player let Chelsea score with strong defense from Kyra Thibeault and Taylor. Krul led the team playing strong at both ends of the field.
Chelsea’s Ashley Matlock scored the lone goal from the help of a Gabrielle Marquis assist. Chelsea played great defense in this contest with great efforts from Kara Madore, Ashley Matlock, Gabrielle Marquis, Sierra Quellette, Anya O’Mara, Daniel Randolph, Zach Whitten, Matt Nadeau.
Manchester United and Liverpool then played, with Camden Huck, Bailey Griffeth, Kyle Soetarte-Beaulier and Noah Heidorn all coming away with a goal in this matchup. Adding assists were Heidorn, Dawson Hebert and Griffeth. Manchester United showed great hustle throughout the entire game with Rachael Soucy, Heidorn and Soetarte-Beaulier controlling the middle of the field with some great passing. The superb defense was played by Heather LaMothe, Griffeth and Beidleman.
Liverpool had a tough match-up in this contest but played very hard the entire game. Hope Shea was all over the field from the defensive end to the offensive end showing tremendous hustle. Nic Sleeper had a couple shot opportunities, just missing the back of the net. Jillian Jaundreau, Sammi Strid and Zoe Gerakaris all contained the ball very well on defense.
Manchester United and Arsenal played a great evenly-matched game. Noah Heidorn scored the team’s goal from an assist off the foot of Dawson Hebert. Team United got strong play from Kirsten Haney, Heather LaMothe and Rachael Soucy. The defense was anchored by Heidorn, Seth Beidleman, and Alyssa Saucier. Goalie Dawson Hebert had great save in the net.
Kerrigan Manter had a good scoring opportunity with strong game play from Maddie Doucette and Hunter Jackson for Arsenal. Josiah Krul kept the pressure on Manchester with Evan Desmond keeping the pressure at the Manchester end of the field. Kyra Thibeault made some good kicks to clear the ball from the Arsenal end.
In the second half, Hannah MacDonald, Emmerson Duplissie-Cyr and Erin Randall worked hard to keep the Manchester team at bay. Hunter Jackson had several saves in goal. Josiah Krul scored the only goal for Arsenal in the midst of several strong shots on goal. Arsenal had a hard fought game with Krul, Desmond, Doucette and Manter showing strong play and leading their team throughout.
Chelsea played great defense and offense all four periods against Liverpool. Austin Cheplic and Ashley Matlock each found the back of the net. Matlock also added an assist. Great defense was played by Noah Frost, Matt Nadeau, Sierra Ouellette, Paige O’bar, Kara Madore, Gabrielle Marquis Hunter Lindsey, Daniel Randolph and Austin Cheplic. Connor Plourde and Randolph shared duties in goal.
Liverpool had a great game with Chelsea. Nick Pelletier had some great passes to help move the ball up the field. Rachel Davis had some nice moves to get around defenders and attack the goal. Nic Sleeper came up with a goal late in the game.
