The descendents of Gustav and Ida Spongberg met at the home of Wayne and Patricia Ingalls of Hermon, on Aug. 14, for a reunion and family barbecue, during which both the American and Swedish flags were flown. Those attending enjoyed a display of family genealogy information prepared by Wahneta Dahlgren and Patricia Ingalls.

Family members held a time of remembrance in recognition of Guy Dahlgren, Jr., who had passed away since the previous reunion in 2008. The traditional game of family trivia, regarding the history of the Dahlgren family was played during the affair.
The youngest family member attending was Mason Dickinson while the oldest relative present was Vincent Dahlgren. Those traveling the longest distance in order to attend the reunion were Roland and Barbara Harmon, of Hudson, N.H.
Sixty-four guests, traveling from Florida, Iowa, New Hampshire and Maine enjoyed the family reunion that featured fun, food and fellowship.
Out-of-state guests included: Gary Harris of coral Gables, Fla.; Roland and Barbara Harmon, Hudson, N.H.; Brian E. Dahlgren, Strafford, N.H. and William and Diane Berndt of Johnson, Iowa.
