ASHLAND & EAST WINDSOR, CT – Margaret R.(Brown) McNally, 87, went to be with the Lord on October 1, 2010, at a healthcare facility in Granby, CT. She was born June 2, 1923, in Ashland, daughter of the late Chester and Sadie (Curtis) Brown. Margaret grew up in Ashland and attended Ashland schools. She married Charles G. McNally at a young
age and began living at the McNally Farm on the Masardis Rd. in Ashland, where she raised six children as well as being a caregiver for several aging relatives. She was very dedicated to the care, well being and happiness of all her family members right up until her homegoing.
Margaret became a widow at the age of 50 with two young teen boys to raise alone. She took on this task and many other challenges with courage and confidence. She got her drivers license and later graduated from Presque Isle High School. She was employed for many years at Taterstate Frozen Foods. Her concern for others was always very evident through the years. She made herself available to her grown children and grandchildren in their time of need and was able to have a special relationship with each one. For health reasons, she moved to CT in 2003, to be near family.
She will be greatly missed by
each and every one.
