Benefit supper

On Oct. 16, there will be a benefit supper for Jayme Scanlin at the Odd Fellow’s Hall in Easton. The supper will be a spaghetti supper from 4 to 7 p.m. All are encouraged to attend to support Jayme. Jayme has been out of work now for several months due to a stroke. This supper is being put on by the Kiwanis Club, Easton Key Club and the Easton FFA. Your support is greatly appreciated.

Corrections

Information in the United Methodist Women’s news last week incorrectly stated the ‘in memory’ donation for the five-star project was made in memory of Bernard Hussey. It should have stated it was made ‘in honor’ of Mr. Hussey, who is still very much alive and continues to be active in the community.
A photo of Martha and Kevin Pelletier indicated the couple had recently returned from Haiti. Martha did not make the trip with her husband.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

The Easton Kiwanis Club barbeque

Image

Easton Kiwanis member Mike Cyr makes sure the cooks, Jimmy Kennedy and Jeremy Corey, are cooking the steaks and chicken to his satisfaction, and they certainly did just that.

Image

Easton Kiwanis Club President Michael Allen and his wife, Treasurer Loris Allen, put on a great barbeque at their home recently to entertain members and friends.

Esther and Keith Richardson were late-comers at the Easton Kiwanis Club barbeque but found no scarcity of food.
